The Big Day
What time should I arrive at Casa Loma?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM in the Conservatory. We recommend arriving between 5:30 PM and 5:45 PM to find your seat and enjoy the castle's atmosphere.
Wait, I’ve heard about Toronto traffic. Is it really that bad?
Yes! Toronto is famous for its "40 minutes away from 40 minutes away" traffic. If you are traveling from downtown or the hotel block, please allow an extra 20–30 minutes more than your GPS suggests.
What is the dress code?
Formal Attire - Dark Suits or Tuxedos, Floor-Length or Elegant Longer Dresses.
Is there parking at the Castle?
There is parking on-site at Casa Loma. However, because parking is first-come, first-served and shared with the public, we recommend using a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft so you can enjoy the evening stress-free.
What's the deal with gifts?
Your presence is the only gift we need. For those who have asked, we are saving towards our honeymoon, and a monetary gift would be greatly appreciated. (robertsonmcclure@protonmail.com for Interac e-Transfer in Canada, or for Zelle in the USA).
For Our American Guests
What do I need to cross the border?
You will need a valid Passport, check your expiration dates now!
Can I use my phone in Canada?
Most major U.S. carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) have "North American" plans that include Canada at no extra cost, but check with your provider before you cross the border to avoid surprise roaming fees.
While You’re in Town
What should we do with an extra day or two in Toronto?
If you have time to explore, here are a few "Must-Dos".
The Classics: The CN Tower for the view, or the Distillery District for historic cobblestone streets and great boutiques. Foodies: Head to St. Lawrence Market (closed Sundays/Mondays) for a world-famous Peameal Bacon Sandwich. Culture: The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) or the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) are world-class. The Islands: Take the ferry to Toronto Island for the best view of the city skyline.
